Approximately £775,000 in 2024/25 and £175,000 in 2025/26, has been invested in grassroots sports clubs and facilities right across East Suffolk — including Corton Playing Fields to Martlesham Heath Green and Benjamin Britten High School. These are your community spaces, getting the investment they deserve. This funding is provided by the UK Government, Premier League and The Football Association’s charity the Football Foundation.
Lowestoft Town Hall is coming back to life
Backed by £707,000 from the Historic England Heritage at Risk Capital Fund, alongside other partner funding, this community-driven project is breathing new life into a local landmark. The transformation will turn Lowestoft Town Hall into a hub for both locals and visitors, featuring a heritage gallery, a café, and a dedicated venue for events and celebrations. Arts Council England, funded by the UK Government, invested a further £2.6 million in East Suffolk’s culture and creativity in 2024/25 and £4.487 million in 2025/26.

New nursery places are open at Reydon and Waldringfield Primary Schools — earlier support for children in Suffolk, already happening. 11 schools across East Suffolk are now part of the free breakfast club programme.
